Vatican Secretary of State avoids direct opposition to Italian civil-union legislation

The Vatican's Secretary of State did not oppose a bid to recognize same-sex unions in Italy-- although he did insist that civil unions should not be given equal status with marriage-- in informal talks with Italian government officials on February 23.

Cardinal Pietro Parolin met with Italian President Sergio Mattarella and Prime Minister Matteo Renzi at a reception honoring the anniversary of the Lateran Accords, the 1929 agreement that established the Vatican city-state and the terms of its relations with Italy. Cardinal Parolin said that the pending legislation to allow civil unions "came up, but did not enter into our discussions. Cardinal Parolin said only that it is "essential" to preserve the unique status of marriage.

The Italian bishops' conference, which has been united in opposition to civil-union proposals in the past, has been less prominent in debate on the issue this year. Cardinal Angelo Bagnasco of Genoa, the president of the bishops' conference, has strongly opposed the measure. But Bishop Nunzio Galantino, the secretary-general of the conference-- who was appointed by Pope Francis-- has pointedly declined to join in the opposition.

Pope Francis himself has avoided public comment on the measure.

Is there any resemblance between the doctrine of the Catholic Church and its actual behavior? Can it even be considered a Christian Church? It seems to stand for nothing other than a new age organization with a leadership that wears funny clothes and hats and likes to have sex with kids. Do they still believe in the divinity of Jesus Christ? Do they have anything resembling a moral compass?

The Pope is busy negotiating with contractors to tear down that big un-Christian wall around the Vatican. Then there’s the accommodations for the 250,000 “refugees” he promised to take into Vatican City.

Could we now be seeing the start of the Apocalypse?

Sister Lucy of Fatima told Cardinal Caffarra that "the final battle between the Lord and the reign of Satan will be about marriage and the family", and as we see, this is exactly what is taking place.

Under the reign of Bergoglio, we have seen the denigration of the Holy Family, starting with the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Now we hear that the Feast of St. Joseph will be sullied by the release of a post-Synod document (written by Bergoglian friend, scribe and author of "Heal Me With Your Mouth", Tucho Fernandez) which will call into question the natural moral law. In green lighting contraception last week, Francis has apparently anticipated the roll out of the document.

And finally, the coordinated synodal attack on the Blessed Sacrament by Francis, Kasper, et al is in reality, a frontal attack on Our Lord.

What we have seen over the past three years has been a blatant, diabolical attack on the Holy Family, and consequentially, on the Catholic family.

Yet, he has no problem addressing the U.S. Congress regarding global warming or illegals invading the country; but he never mentioned “abortion”. Same with the U.N.

Speaking to the Corriere della Sera on February 8th Pope Francis numbered the radical Italian politician Emma Bonino "among the big ones of today's Italy". When the journalist pointed out that Bonino doesn't think like the Church, Francis replied: "Whatever, one has to look at the persons, at what they do." Bonino openly admitted that she performed more than 10,000 illegal abortions during 1975 alone. She would vacuum the unborn child from the womb of the abortive mother with an air pump - the kind used for bicycle tires - putting the remains of her victim into a glass jar.....
