As we prepare for the remembrance of Our Blessed Lord's Passion and Death, there could hardly be a more insulting way to begin this, than with a major liturgical abuse. But unfortunately, such an abuse has become extremely common.
I don’t think these changes will ever be “walked back”; they will continue in liberal areas and never arrive in conservative ones. JPII started this with the altar girls nonsense; whatever one thinks of the practice, the implementation was ridiculous (Leave it up to the ordinary). How does a new bishop walk it back if his predecessor put it in place?
Your prediction is based on a GIGANTIC assumption: That there will BE “liberal areas” in the Church in the future.
Thank you for posting this.
How many really understand “Mandatum”?
I don't know. But it's obvious the Bergoglio is one of those who doesn't understand. But then again, Bergoglio believes in some false god that continues to surprise us to this day.
As long as the hierarchy is liberal there will be; the parishes will wither away or switch to social gathering places, but the hierarchy owns the properties and will find ways to keep some open.
Bergoglio will soon become a formal heretic (if he is not one already), if he proceeds with this schedule.

Do you realize this video is from 2012?
Absolutely. Voris is not going to utter a peep about it NOW!
It was not JPII, it was Sodano. Long story, but contrary to widespread belief, Pope John Paul did not approve of female altar servers, and had actually responded to unofficial inquiries that he never would.
