We’ve All Waged a “War on Christmas”

There are few things that reveal the hedonistic, sexually depraved sin so prevalent in our culture more than a recent display on the second floor of the Georgia Capitol. It's even more shameful that this display was done specifically to target Christmas. As my Christmas column (available in a few days) this year notes, those who hate the real meaning and message of Christmas will go to great lengths to keep us from the Truth.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Humanity Fund, a pro-homosexual organization, was granted a petition to mount a 'Gay Pride Festivus Pole' in the Georgia Capitol. (The idea of 'Festivus' comes from an episode of Seinfeld.) According to its website, The Humanity Fund is 'an advocacy organization dedicated to protecting and promoting freedom of speech and religion, especially the separation of Church and State. The Humanity Fund believes in equal rights for all, with a focus on lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender rights.'

A gay pride pole?

Do they have something against Poland?

No matter what the depraved bunghole invaders want they won’t get rid of Christmas by putting up satanic statues or symbolic phallic symbols in the place of nativity scenes for long.

They want to hold something against almost everyone.

No I haven't waged a war on Christmas. Maybe this blogger has, but he should get off his holy high horse before saying that. Yes I read the blog and yes he has a very valid point; but not with his headline.

I think Mr. Thomas’s point is that, when we were lost in our sin (And we have all been in that condition: “All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God”), we were waging a “War on Christmas.”

But apparently Starbuck's will by not putting snowflakes and reindeer on their coffee cups this Christmas season. Or so the hoopla over it would have us believe.

Yes, nothing like a war on Christmas being waged by removing secular symbols from a disposable coffee cup.

The Messiah was born during Sukkot which takes place in late summer when shepherds are watching over their flocks by night. Not in winter... Sukkot is a pilgrimage festival and that's why there was no room at the inn... There's lots more but after all you've had nearly 2000 years to figure this out.

25 Kislev 3756 - Chanukah / Conception of Yeshua

15 Tishri 3757 - Sukkot / Birth of Yeshua
September 14, -4

15 Nisan 3790 - (30 C.E.) Pesach / Crucifixion of Yeshua

.

Reverse engineer it!

What exactly does it mean for a bunch of rump-rangers to "mount" a pole? Do they take turns? Do they clean it up after they're done?

” Sukkot is a pilgrimage festival and that’s why there was no room at the inn...”

There was no room at the inn because Caesar Augustus had ordered a census be taken and non-residents, including Joseph, had to return to their hometowns to be counted. All guesses as to the timing are just that, guesses.

Reverse engineer it!

Did that many years ago, thanks for bringing this point up.

Jesus started his earthly flesh life nine months before his birth, which would be around Dec 25th.

Not born on Dec 25th, but conceived on or about 12-25.

This point "late summer when shepherds are watching over their flocks by night" most people miss.

and Starbuck will be crying later trying to sell red and green Happy Holidays cups. Let the market and their consumers teach them a lesson or two.

Yes it is a disaster to be sure. For where, oh where, is the festive snowflake on my morning soy latte' to assure me that my deeply held religious beliefs about the birth of Christ have been sanctioned by the culture at large, Starbucks in particular? I am truly outraged. Come quickly Lord Jesus, I pray. For surely we are a fallen and wicked people, drinking from unadorned secular vessels and desperately in need of your help in battling the war on Christmas.

Please tell me I didn't need a sarcasm tag for that.

people that have been fooled into paying $5 for a cup of coffee that tastes like crap made by special "baristas" dressed like elves don't need my help; they need a psychiatrist and a reality check...: )

Where Did Christmas Come From? Well, Not Jesus For A Start - The David Icke Videocast

No validity whatsoever...

Read the Prodigal son story like this, the older brother is Judaism the younger Christianity. The younger son must do teshuvah! Luke 15

No, and that is not MY quote.

I will read the Bible the way/as the Holy Spirit directs, not as you request.

I will read the Bible the way/as the Holy Spirit directs, not as you request.

Interpret this...

Jeremiah 10

Idols and the True God

10, 1 Hear the word which the Lord speaks to you, O house of Israel.

2 Thus says the Lord:

“Do not learn the way of the Gentiles; Do not be dismayed at the signs of heaven, For the Gentiles are dismayed at them.

3 For the customs of the peoples are futile; For one cuts a tree from the forest, The work of the hands of the workman, with the ax. 4 They decorate it with silver and gold; They fasten it with nails and hammers So that it will not topple. 5 They are upright, like a palm tree, And they cannot speak; They must be carried,
Because they cannot go by themselves. Do not be afraid of them,

For they cannot do evil, Nor can they do any good.”

In other words, if you have a tree in your house decorated with silver and other colors, well congratulations, You’re Inert!
