Nothing is more important than the Mass, and the Church is bound to keep on celebrating it in and out of season. And that includes war.

My uncle (US Army, 1960-1982) was a chaplain - served two tours in Vietnam, couple in Germany. Many masses were in rough cases, some on the hood of a jeep or truck.

It reminds me of old clips from WWII, with the priests saying Mass VERY close to the front.
