Synod Showdown Report—October 8, 2015
Church Militant ^ | 10/8/15 | Michael Voris

Posted on 10/08/2015 3:49:01 PM PDT by markomalley

Near the end of today's press conference, which just ended a few hours ago, a sort of surprising thing happened. A question was popped by a guy; I don't want to say he's a reporter because he's not. His name is Francis DeBernardo, and he is the executive director of New Ways Ministry in the United States. That's a group that has been banned by the Vatican, or denounced by the Vatican, because it is a pro-gay, pro-gay marriage, pro-sodomite, pro-homosexual Catholic organization (or claims that name Catholic) that wants to get the Church to change its teachings and accept same-sex "marriage." Executive Director Francis DeBernardo actually got press credentials in here today.

How did this man get press credentials, and then on top of it was picked to ask a question?

Now there's been an awful lot of talk going on that what's going on in the Synod is something very different than what is being reported in the press hall. What's reported in the press hall is this constant stream of discussion about gay this and gay that and they are our sons and daughters, etc. The guy doing most of this talking is the papal spokesman, Fr. Thomas Rosica. He is continually in the hall, sometimes up on the dais. He was on the dais on Tuesday in this particular clip we're going to show you right now, and this is what he had to say about the whole gay issue then:

The language must be renewed. And there is a close-knit link with the Jubilee of Mercy. The Jubilee of Mercy, which will begin in December, also requires a new form of language, both public and private. The Jubilee of Mercy requires a language of mercy, in particular in speaking about homosexuals or gay persons. We do not pity gay persons, but we recognize them for who they are. They are our sons and daughters and brothers and sisters.

So we're going to do a little more investigating here in the coming days and weeks and find out how a guy who is pro-gay — he's admitted it, he has a blog that wants the Catholic Church to change its teachings, he's just a blogger and executive director of a pro-gay organization, he has nothing to do with media — how did this guy get media credentials to go into the Synod press briefing and then get chosen to ask a question to Abp. Palmer-Buckle (of course, a very pro-gay question)?

The whole thing smells of a set-up. So, how did this happen?

Thank you, Mr. OMalley, for the Catholic posts. It is nice to “cut to the chase” here at Free Republic rather than scan different web site. Voris has the energy of a doberman pincher dog which should be mirrored by the Dominicans.

Fr. Thomas Rosica does excellent media work and he is a good PR guy for the Church. However, it is sad to see him become infected with the need to defend sodomy. What prevents me from concluding that “sodomites are normal”? Prayer and fasting.

Paul VI got rid of the Ember days and the no-fish-on-Fridays. Now we are hurting as a culture.

I am going to go to 8am Mass tomorrow morning — something I can't usually do on account of work, but I have some flexibility tomorrow — and pray for the Holy Spirit to keep this synod on track. Any other freeper out there want to join me — at his or her own church — to pray for the same thing?

The upper most thought in the Vatican it seems, is to act in all manner and word with new and obvious ways to make the Church look less Catholic, in order to *make* the Church less Catholic.

I can name nothing, since Benedict XVI, that has lauded anything of Catholic Tradition, nor of Catholic small “t” tradition, but since his resignation along with the loss and removal of his people, I see everything to do with dilution, diminishment and minimization of so many aspects of the Church and the Holy Mass, common for centuries, that are attributed to the identity of the Catholic faith and practices.

There is a refreshed full court press, for just one example, against the TDL, that is now as bad or worse than that which followed Vatican II. Benedict XVI addressed the misuse of V2 in removing the TDL from common practice and wrote Summorum Pontificum to reinstate the right of priests to celebrate the TDL and without the *permission of their Bishop*.

I've been doing the same thing at the 7 AM (EST) mass all week. We need lots of prayers. The smoke of Satan is evidently infesting the Synod.

They may have the right, but they'll be punished if they exercise it. They'll be banished to a poverty-stricken parish out at 199th and Plowed Ground.

**Paul VI got rid of the Ember days and the no-fish-on-Fridays. Now we are hurting as a culture.**

No, this is not true. There are still Ember days and fish on Friday was never changed. It’s just free-wheeling bishops who have done this.

LOL!!!

You speak the God’s truth, I can attest to that. I am about to scream, in my own diocese. Cowards all! Viciously agenda driven, tradition deploring bishop rules apparently.

You're half right. Prior to Paul VI, Ember Days and Friday abstinence were universally obligatory.

But, like the Mass, Paul decided to mix things up.

Wake up, Michael. Why do you continue to ignore the elephant at the synod?

Like I said elsewhere, the Modernists have turned up the heat on the slowly boiling Catholic lay frogs. Boiling commenced with Vatican II.

LOL. I can't wait to hear the results of his "investigation". I'm sure they will be elucidating. /s
