Bishop Richard Pates of Des Moines, Iowa, has revoked permission for the celebration of Mass at a Catholic Worker house, after a woman claiming to be a Catholic priest led services there.
Janice Sevre-Duszynska, a representative of Roman Catholic WomanPriests, presided at a ceremony in the Catholic Worker house last December. Bishop Pates took disciplinary action against the group after consulting the presbyteral council of his diocese, which gave his move unanimous approval.
The bishops decision was conveyed to the Catholic Worker house in May; the diocese made it public in August.

“Considering we’re talking about Bishop Pates, I won’t post the episcopal backbone picture here.”
Good call.
WOMAN-PRIESTS!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!! OMG!! Dancing on the TRAPDOOR of HELL!
He needs to go there and rededicate the house claiming it for Jesus and blessing all it’s rooms.
It's a Catholic Worker house...a bunch of (literally) commies. He needs to exorcise it because of its occupants.
That’s what I said.
OK, I thought you were saying he should exorcise it because of the "priestette"
Catholic Worker has had serious problems—since the beginning. While Dorothy Day was still alive, there were widespread problems with fornication. What do you expect, when you attract a bunch of lefty hippie types to live in groups?
But they have had REALLY serious problems with pro-aborts in their ranks. Catholic Worker houses have been listed in political coalitions with pro-abortion groups COUNTLESS times in the last 40 years.
Dorothy Day was an EX-Communist. A huge number of her followers have not been. EX, that is.
And I suspect many of those same 68% think wiccans should also be allowed to attend mass and receive communion. . .its all about being inclusive and non-judgmental and tolerant.
