You are a genius!
John 1:5 is quite appropriate.

I only hope my idea becomes viral. :)
Ephesians 5 is very important with an emphasis on 5:12.
Even if what this author wrote were true we are not to be reading about it and talking about it.
Yes. Although it may be difficult to tell about what is best not talked about, or else too closely "studied", without making *some* identifying mention of just what it is that is unprofitable.
Yet if things of this nature, mixed up with how programming and political speech etc., can effect people, and this should be taken into account, then why 'study it' from any reference point or teacher that is selling the power of fear of demonic forces, rather than standpoint of fear of God, and reliance upon Him to be one's guide?
Sampling demonic wares simply won't do. It would be like scuba diving snorkeling in a cesspool to verify the contents are foul smelling, and potentially hazardous to human health.
What (else but God) should be feared, if one is hoping and intending of knowing what is best & proper --- if intent is for Christian education & edification?
I can personally testify that the Lord God Almighty, is (can be, when He presents Himself in spirit, like unto as He did, yet visibly so, to Moses);
He is so utterly Holy, it is frightening. Yet comforting too, at the same time.
He is good.
I see what you did there.
The author is nut case. Has to be a liberal.
Long time no see Laz! Glad to see you’re still around.
I’m not around in a body any more. I uploaded myself to the internet.
I already know the truth. Your viewpoint would leave one ignorant to all ancient religions, cultures, and the entire history of the pagan world (which is nearly everything). If you wish to remain ignorant of the enemy, I don't have a problem with it.
Before Johnny Depp did it? :-O
So I take it you are unaware of Aztec, Inca, Mayan, Sumerian, Babylonian, Native American, Norse, Chinese history?
They’re all pagan. If you read about their history, then you really don’t have any room to talk unless you don’t mind being a hypocrite.
I'm sure you think you do.
Well FRiend, the above paragraph, just falsified the first line, for that first sentence cannot stretch to cover what followed.
Hyperbole much?
You have little actual knowledge of what I may know (or be ignorant of) in regards to ancient religions, cultures, and THE ENTIRE HISTORY OF THE PAGAN WORLD. lol.
I'm surprised this thread hasn't been moved out the 'religion' forum, deleted, moved to general chat, or even the Smokey Backroom.
But if you keep on insulting people indirectly (but on purpose) and directly also, going direct towards making things personal, which you have to most anyone you've provided reply to, who had responded in any negative way towards the "article" --- then it could happen.
That type of conversation is generally against the rules ~on the religion forum~.
So, what now?
Will you call me a hypocrite too, for having needed to reply to "getting personal" sort of comment made towards myself?
BWAAHAHAAAA.
Welcome back to FR!
Ya' got right into the 'spirit' of how the religion forum often malfunctions, eh?
In other words, if you have a case to make, then make it. But keep the personal opinions you may have for others to yourself, while on the religion forum, or get out.
Post to "chat", or bloggers & personal, instead.
Lucky for you, you didn't get stuck in 's server, or one of Lois Lerner's hapless hard drives.
Run, run (do electrons run? fly?) to the Cloud!
Don't venture down into the bowels of the internet, it's no telling what one may find there, and you may not make it 'til that time
Thanks for the bump and continued foot stomping ;)
Better not study any more ancient religions, lest you open yourself up to occult influences.
The article at the heading of this thread had nothing much to do with ancient religions, other than demon-baggery.
You do realize that all non-Christian religions are influenced and originated by the fallen angels, right? Otherwise our entire conversation is a complete waste of time. Your point is that we dare not tread where the occult is or we will become influenced by it and deceived. You effectively wall off studying the history of all ancient cultures, their (false) gods, and their rituals out of some fear that it will lead weak minded believers astray.
LEave that kind of crap out of any comment you care to make towards me.
Understand?
But you are partially correct, just not enough, for where you then go with the rest of it.
This article which you brought is not a healthy way to examine the subject matter. That part, you were close to being correct for.
Bullshit. Or perhaps better said, straw-crap.
But that's sort of false note is the essence of strawman garbage that you keep bringing -- which is what is continuing to preclude productive conversation. It's fitting that an article of this sort would be defended in such a way? It's all poison.
There are other, more clinical ways to examine religious beliefs of past cultures, if the article actually delved into those other than piecemeal fantasy-land imaginings based on scanty & sketchy data, which was then mixed in with this woman's demonically inspired ramblings.
Enough, is enough, and I've had about enough of dealing with this, and dealing with you and your butthurt feelings. But go ahead, say whatever. After this, I'm gone and will reply to you no further.
You've lost any chance you may have thought you were striving to have.
Though I will (and do) advise most anyone else to skip over the demonically inspired nonsense that is the substance of the article, and hope the entire thread is given the old "no thanks" thumbs down from forum management.
