Dr Maier gets wound up about halfway into the video. The presentation really gets rolling when he starts listing historical proofs of Jesus and the Resurrection, from secular sources.

Here's a link to a major Historian and professor (Paul Maier), now retired. He gives a neat speech about the facts from secular History about Jesus ...
Maier has been around for a long time, has written many books on the subject (I own about a dozen), and is widely regarded as an excellent historian.
I recommend that you start with his translation of Josephus and follow it with his book In the Fullness of Time.
Thanks for the ping.

Thanks - I sometimes listen to sermons on my commute. I will upload that and listen to the audio as I drive. Thanks so much!

I have the Andrew Scourby King James on discs. It makes great listening on long drives. Got a couple of Chuck Missler presentations and one or two John Ankerberg programs.

Thanks so much for posting this. I had heard of him but wasn’t really familiar with either him or his work. After watching the complete video, (1) I emailed a link to it with a teaser to pretty much everyone I know, and (2) I bookmarked his website and began my exploration of it.

Gary has been used of God in a mighty way. His genius is the unraveling of Historical events and Biblical clues. If you have not yet looked into them, he has been doing work on Near Death Experiences and I believe he now has a book out and one he co-authored on the subject.

Great post and link. Listened to it several times now. Very well presented. FWIW a great evangelically gifted message.
