Sorry but I believe my right to life also allows me the right to die at a time and place I choose if that is how I want to go.

I put it right up there as a personal right like the right to keep and bear arms.

I can enforce my right at any time I choose. I should not need the state to PERMIT me to die.

suicide = self-inflicted post partum abortion

FYI - my mother is in hospice, but does not want an injection to kill her done by the doctor and neither do I.

Man Survives Plunge Over Niagara Falls I'm from the area. I saw the news footage, taken by a tourist, that was spoken of in the article. He was extremely heavy, and the buoyancy of his body fat, combined with the forward speed of the water caused the trajectory of his fall to bypass the rocks below. Otherwise, he could have been smashed to pieces; otherwise sucked below, rushed down to a whirlpool by the current, with his remains taking weeks to surface. He didn't want to be saved. The helicopter was taking a big chance flying through the mist in cold weather, at an angle, to save him.

My point? It wasn't his time; it wasn't his decision; hee survived. When God said, "Thou shalt not kill", He included ourselves. There isn't a thing that happens in all creation that God does not permit nor ordain. Yes you have a right to life- but it was given to you by God. He decided when, by whom, and even which egg and sperm were going to find one another. Your life is a gift from God that you had no control over. He denied you the right to destroy that life, in Scripture. Your choice is how you live what is in between the beginning and the end. Those choices determine what is after, my friend. Please choose carefully!

God gives you the rights of which you speak.

Aren’t you glad your mother didn’t have an abortion.

Always remember that God is PRO-LIFE!

He will wait for you to repent of your attitude.

Suicide is an evil thing, although perhaps less so if the person who does it is mentally ill.

But "assisted suicide" is libspeak for getting a doctor to kill someone. That is another kind of evil. Doctors are supposed to save lives, not take them. The ancient oath that all doctors took for thousands of years, until some med schools dropped it, is "Do no harm."

We have gotten to the point where you no longer can trust some doctors to do no harm. That, I am afraid, is the intention of liberals who push bills like this. Like Hitler, they want to euthanize the "useless eaters."

It's like gay marriage. The real purpose is not to make everyone equal, but to destroy the institution of marriage and undermine families.
