Not sure what this holiday is all about?
Well, according to www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org:
The Torah teaches that "the Jewish people are obligated to count the days from the second night of Passover to the day before Shavu'ot - a total of exactly seven full weeks or 49 days. This period is known as the Omer, in reference to the biblical omer which meant a unit of measure. On the second day of Passover, in the days of the Temple, an omer of barley was cut down and brought to the Temple as an offering.
The counting is intended to remind us of the link between Passover, which commemorates the Exodus, and Shavu'ot, which commemorates the giving of the Torah. It reminds us that the redemption from slavery was not complete until we received the Torah. Therefore, every night, from the second night of Passover to the night before Shavu'ot, Jews recite a blessing and state the omer count, in both weeks and days. For example, on the 16th day one would say, "Today is sixteen days - which is two weeks and two days - of the Omer."...

Actually it’s tomorrow night.
It was already Wednesday in Israel when he posted it.
Duh. My bad.
So, it commemorates the first ‘day’ of manna in exodus 16 that started the day after the 15th.
When the six days of manna are up and the ‘7th day’ occurs on Monday may 11, which would be the 22nd day (and the anniversary of the first Sabbath in the wilderness) what happens? Any ceremony?
Is there any other months in scripture that have a sabbath on the 22nd day?
I read of one in His 7th month.
Is that a coincidence or a pattern?
For it to be a pattern, one would have to find a sabbath 7 days earlier or later (15th day or 29th day) in scripture .
Is that not what Leviticus proves in the 1st and 7th months whenHis Feasts begin on the 15th days of those months?
It seems that He wasn’t only feeding them in the wilderness but He was teaching them His calendar.
Lag B'Omer will occur on the following days of the secular calendar:

Jewish Year 5776: sunset May 25, 2016 - nightfall May 26, 2016
Jewish Year 5777: sunset May 13, 2017 - nightfall May 14, 2017
