You left out the part that after the miracle that God ordained using Our Lady of Guadalupe, the natives abandoned their pagan religion with human sacrifices and thereafter worshiped the One True God.

No. These “miracles” are solely manifestations of Satan, dwelling in the hearts of lost souls.

No cigar!

Catholicism is in no way the worship of God!

Catholicism is the worship of mankind; Humanism, to the core.

Every Marian practice, and doctrine reeks of Satan.

It appears I was mistaken. It was common for about a 50 year period her in the US. She did pass away in France during that 50 year period.. I will have to check and see if they used arsenic for embalming there.

I CCed bb because she is under the mistaken impression that I never admit to an error.

Nope. It goes from beyond earthly life. It's for eternity.

Matthew 1:20

But while he thought on these things, behold the angel of the Lord appeared to him in his sleep, saying: Joseph, son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife, for that which is conceived in her, is of the Holy Ghost.

You "sola scriptura" guys sure ignore a lot of that "scriptura" that Luther and other apostates/heretics could not accept.

What miracles did Luther perform?

Are there any documented protestant miracles?

Martin Luther on Mary and Idolotry...

Furthermore, how will you endure [the Romanists'] terrible idolatries? It was not enough that they venerated the saints and praised God in them, but they actually made them into gods. They put that noble child, the mother Mary, right into the place of Christ. They fashioned Christ into a judge and thus devised a tyrant for anguished consciences, so that all comfort and confidence was transferred from Christ to Mary, and then everyone turned from Christ to his particular saint. Can anyone deny this? Is it not true?

Stating that Mary is the mother of God does indeed deify her.

She’s the mother of Jesus, as the Holy Spirit inspired the writers of Scripture to identify her as.

It’s men who think that the Holy Spirit did an inadequate job of identifying her and assigned a new title to her, one that is NOT accurate and only leads to more error and confusion.

Mother of God is a pagan title, used only by lost pagans.

Apparently you are familiar with neither the Old nor the New Testament to speak such heresy.

Missionaries had been in Mexico for decades with only a few hundred converts but Mary's image on the tilma sufficed to convert 8 million Aztecs. This is not coincidence but resulted from what the Aztecs interpreted about that image. It was quite clear and pointed to Christ!

It pointed them to the Papist version of Christ who, more often than not, could just as easily cast you into hell at the instigation of devils if Mary doesn't constantly protect you from Him:

"One day the King fell seriously ill and when he was given up for dead he found himself, in a vision, before the judgement seat of Our Lord. Many devils were there accusing him of all the sins he had committed and Our Lord as Sovereign Judge was just about to condemn him to hell when Our Lady appeared to intercede for him. She called for a pair of scales and had his sins placed in one of the balances whereas she put the rosary that he had always worn on the other scale, together with all the Rosaries that had been said because of his example. It was found that the Rosaries weighed more than his sins. Looking at him with great kindness Our Lady said: "As a reward for this little honor that you paid me in wearing my Rosary, I have obtained a great grace for you from my Son. Your life will be spared for a few more years. See that you spend these years wisely, and do penance." When the King regained consciousness he cried out: "Blessed be the Rosary of the Most Holy Virgin Mary, by which I have been delivered from eternal damnation!"

Today, Mexico is a country that is not too far removed from pile of you know what status. It's Catholicity has only led to its perpetual stagnation, the dominance of superstition, authoritarian/statist ideologies leading into leftist ideologies, and finally the inevitable breakdown of law and order.

But hey, they're good Catholics eh, much blessed by God?

She’s the mother of Jesus,..

So are you denying Jesus Christ is God?

Satan can appear as an angel of light if it suits his purposes, and nothing would suit him more than to exalt anyone or anything above God.

Drawing that kind of attention, attributing to humans the works of God, giving glory that belongs to God alone to other people, fits right in with his agenda to usurp God’s place in the lives of people.

Apparitions of Mary are the work of the enemy that are leading many into deception and darkness.

She just happens to be the Mother of God.

Right. The mother of her self-existent Creator.

>With no Scriptural support for that position at all.<

Do you believe Mary was the Mother of Jesus Christ? Do you believe Jesus Christ is God? Scripture supports both of the above propositions. Do you reject Scripture?

If this is catholic attempt at logic......because you're next statement would then be.....then Mary is the Mother of God. The catholic overlooks the role of the Holy Spirit in the conception/birth of Jesus.

To carry the catholic position further...does this make the Holy Spirit the father of Jesus?

See how the argument falls apart?

The whole catholic position on this is devoid of reason and is just another attempt to elevate Mary to something not accorded to her in the Word.

She is never even hinted at in this capacity in the Word. Only in the catholic mind.

The spirit at Guadaloupe said build a church for her.

The Church is where they come to worship God! Is that so difficult to understand?

The Catholic argument does not fall apart; for the Catholic Church knows and declares that Mary was/is the Blessed Virgin.

The account on EWTN says they converted to the Christian faith. However, let's look at the details.

Juan Diego moved into his little hermitage, seeing to the maintenance and cleaning of the site. His life remained simple—he carefully farmed a field close to the sanctuary that had been placed at his disposal. He received pilgrims in ever larger numbers, and enjoyed talking about the Blessed Virgin and untiringly relating the details of the apparitions. He was entrusted with all kinds of prayer intentions. He listened, sympathized, and comforted. A good amount of his free time was spent in contemplation before the image of his Lady. He made rapid progress in the ways of holiness. Day after day, he fulfilled his duty as a witness up until his death on December 9, 1548, seventeen years after the first apparition.

When the Indians had learned the news of Our Lady's apparitions, an enthusiasm and joy such as had never been seen before spread among them. Renouncing their idols, superstitions, human sacrifices, and polygamy, many asked to be baptized. Nine years after the apparitions, nine million Indians had converted to the Christian faith—nearly 3,000 a day! The details of the Image of MARY moved the Indians deeply—this woman is greater than the sun-god since she appears standing before the sun. She surpasses the moon god since she keeps the moon under her feet. She is no longer of this world since she is surrounded by clouds and is held above the world by an angel. Her folded hands show her in prayer, which means that there is Someone greater than she...

This does not sound like Christianity. It sounds like they traded one false religion for another. Read more: http://www.ewtn.com/saintsholy/saints/O/ourladyofguadalupe.asp#ixzz3WU1i1hi1

Now contrast the above account with this one from the Word. I am sure you will quickly see the difference.

14But Peter, taking his stand with the eleven, raised his voice and declared to them: “Men of Judea and all you who live in Jerusalem, let this be known to you and give heed to my words.

15“For these men are not drunk, as you suppose, for it is only the third hour of the day;

16but this is what was spoken of through the prophet Joel:

17‘AND IT SHALL BE IN THE LAST DAYS,’ God says, ‘THAT I WILL POUR FORTH OF MY SPIRIT ON ALL MANKIND; AND YOUR SONS AND YOUR DAUGHTERS SHALL PROPHESY, AND YOUR YOUNG MEN SHALL SEE VISIONS, AND YOUR OLD MEN SHALL DREAM DREAMS;

18EVEN ON MY BONDSLAVES, BOTH MEN AND WOMEN, I WILL IN THOSE DAYS POUR FORTH OF MY SPIRIT And they shall prophesy.

19‘AND I WILL GRANT WONDERS IN THE SKY ABOVE AND SIGNS ON THE EARTH BELOW, BLOOD, AND FIRE, AND VAPOR OF SMOKE.

20‘THE SUN WILL BE TURNED INTO DARKNESS AND THE MOON INTO BLOOD, BEFORE THE GREAT AND GLORIOUS DAY OF THE LORD SHALL COME.

21‘AND IT SHALL BE THAT EVERYONE WHO CALLS ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED.’

22“Men of Israel, listen to these words: Jesus the Nazarene, a man attested to you by God with miracles and wonders and signs which God performed through Him in your midst, just as you yourselves know—

23this Man, delivered over by the predetermined plan and foreknowledge of God, you nailed to a cross by the hands of godless men and put Him to death.

24“But God raised Him up again, putting an end to the agony of death, since it was impossible for Him to be held in its power.

25“For David says of Him, ‘I SAW THE LORD ALWAYS IN MY PRESENCE; FOR HE IS AT MY RIGHT HAND, SO THAT I WILL NOT BE SHAKEN.

26‘THEREFORE MY HEART WAS GLAD AND MY TONGUE EXULTED; MOREOVER MY FLESH ALSO WILL LIVE IN HOPE;

27BECAUSE YOU WILL NOT ABANDON MY SOUL TO HADES, NOR ALLOW YOUR HOLY ONE TO UNDERGO DECAY.

28‘YOU HAVE MADE KNOWN TO ME THE WAYS OF LIFE; YOU WILL MAKE ME FULL OF GLADNESS WITH YOUR PRESENCE.’

29“Brethren, I may confidently say to you regarding the patriarch David that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us to this day.

30“And so, because he was a prophet and knew that GOD HAD SWORN TO HIM WITH AN OATH TO SEAT one OF HIS DESCENDANTS ON HIS THRONE,

31he looked ahead and spoke of the resurrection of the Christ, that HE WAS NEITHER ABANDONED TO HADES, NOR DID His flesh SUFFER DECAY.

32“This Jesus God raised up again, to which we are all witnesses.

33“Therefore having been exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He has poured forth this which you both see and hear.

34“For it was not David who ascended into heaven, but he himself says: ‘THE LORD SAID TO MY LORD, “SIT AT MY RIGHT HAND,

35UNTIL I MAKE YOUR ENEMIES A FOOTSTOOL FOR YOUR FEET.”’

36“Therefore let all the house of Israel know for certain that God has made Him both Lord and Christ—this Jesus whom you crucified.”

37Now when they heard this, they were pierced to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brethren, what shall we do?”

38Peter said to them, “Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

39“For the promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God will call to Himself.”

40And with many other words he solemnly testified and kept on exhorting them, saying, “Be saved from this perverse generation!”

41So then, those who had received his word were baptized; and that day there were added about three thousand souls.

42They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.

43Everyone kept feeling a sense of awe; and many wonders and signs were taking place through the apostles.

44And all those who had believed were together and had all things in common;

45and they began selling their property and possessions and were sharing them with all, as anyone might have need.

46Day by day continuing with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they were taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart,

47praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord was adding to their number day by day those who were being saved.
