Cruz: Dems Looking to ‘Persecute’ Those with ‘Good Faith Religious’ Opposition to Gay Marriage

(VIDEO-AT-LINK)

In a video posted by The Dallas Morning News to YouTube on Wednesday, 2016 Republican presidential hopeful Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) spoke about the controversy involving Indiana’s “religious freedom” law.

Cruz took aim at Democrats in particular for using the wedge issue of same-sex marriage for political gain, even at the expense of those with a “good faith religious belief” about marriage.

“[H]ere’s what’s happened,” Cruz said. “Which is it used to be there was a bipartisan consensus. We’d defend the civil liberties of Americans, even those we disagreed with. We defended the religious liberty of people to seek out other faiths, faith different than our own, because that’s what this nation was built on.”(continued)

Someone who speaks for millions in the silent majority? How'd that happen?

You know, vet, I am utterly dumbfounded by Ted Cruz.

There is no one else like him at all.

Here is an honest man who does says what he believes and does what he says, and it’s been so long since I have seen anyone like him that, quite frankly, I thought such men no longer exist.

That is so smart. Color me ‘white hispanic’, I think I’ll move the odds on him from 15-1 against to 8-1 against for the GOP nod.

‘Good Faith Religions opposition’. If he can keep it smart and keep it clever like that, the media will turn for him as well as conservative’s could hope.

This man is an oasis in an otherwise desert in America’s greatest deliberative body!

Viva Harry Reid. Beaten to submission by a bungee cord.

Riiigggghhhttt.

If he can convince a good amount of black Christians to vote for him, the dems are toast in 2016.

Yes, he is, but it even goes well beyond that.

This man is the polar opposite of every, single politician in this country.

I cannot, for the life of me, thin of anyone else who does what this man does. He does the exact opposite of every one else, and all I can do is pick my jaw up off the floor watching it.

This is what a leader does. He leads. He is out in front
leading all by himself despite the scurrying cockroaches throwing their little stones at him, and I tell you what, I want to go and stand behind him!

I wouldn’t bet against Ted Cruz convincing a lot of black evangelicals to vote for him over this gay marriage nonsense and the gay mafia’s war on freedom of religion. I can imagine him giving a sermon at a few of these big black churches and the congregation getting up and cheering. He is a very convincing man.

It’s already happening, along with many Latinos, Libertarians, other devout Christians, Jews and “Reagan Democrats” from the articles I’m seeing.

Word, bro.

I think that when we get in to primary season there will Cruz rallies the size of which the country has never seen.

“He does the exact opposite of every one else”....

He stands for the reality that USED to be where right is right and wrong is wrong.

The reality we are living in right now is “right is wrong” and “wrong is right”.

The man has a moral compass, integrity and brains.

Right, ever since Palin there has been no other voice for patriotic Americans. Pent-up demand.

Completely and totally agree. We've become so used to so called "conservative" politicians espousing a wishy washy, namby pamby, go along to get along attitude that Cruz is like a shining beacon of conservative light. Almost blindingly honest and articulate.

Of course, but I wasn’t from the ages of 16- about 20. At that time I was quite dishonest until I learned a valuable lesson about truth.

He is as a free man should be. What he has is what it takes to remain free men.

I believe that there is truly something special and rare to be seen in him, and I mean exceptionally rare.

As far as all the other republicans go, except maybe for a couple, I hope they learn from Ted Cruz, because right now not only are they useless, they are, in fact, dangerous.

He’s convincing because he’s Right and has the courage to speak his convictions. There’s no waffling or compromise. It’s not hard to imagine after listening to him speak that he argued 9 cases before the Supreme Court.

The die hard Democrat voters will vote Democratic no matter what, but the Reagan Democrats and those of faith will turn away from the Democratic party.
The Democrats will lose the religious and evangelical vote for sure in this wedge issue.
What’s happening around the world to Christians and in Kenya won’t help the left with the Christian vote.

I think the Hispanic vote would be more overwhelming than the black vote.
I am not saying all black Christians, because Jesus Christ knows his own, but many black Christians in the last 2 election cycles have sold their souls to Obama, they are beyond hope.
