Nothing wrong about meeting with sinners - the crux is what is he going to tell them?

Nothing wrong here.

Mark 2:17

“Jesus hearing this, saith to them: They that are well have no need of a physician, but they that are sick. For I came not to call the just, but sinners.”

Could someone kindly inform the Pope that the death penalty is appropriate in some cases.

“Anyone who takes the life of a human being is to be put to death.”

I hope they use plastic silverware ,
nothing worse than stating a "Holy War" (Jihad)
by eliminating a religous leader ,
and then yelling : "Alahu FUBAR ".

In Pope Francis’ defense, he probably confused them for Catholic Priests.

Nothing wrong with meeting with sinners and reaching out to them with God’s Word. Let’s not go off half-cocked. Wait and see if he says something stupid.

Jesus ate with tax collectors and sinners.. so I have no problem with this IF he would call them to repentance and give them the gospel (if he knew it)

Matthew 25:35-36

35 For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you made me welcome,

36 lacking clothes and you clothed me, sick and you visited me, in prison and you came to see me.”

I don’t have a problem with the per se. Followers of Christ can love the sinner without endorsing sin.

Mark 2
