Steve’s Devotional - Satan is Real & Out to Get You

I want to introduce you to someone so evil that most Christians can’t even comprehend that evil. I want to introduce you to a being who is as evil as God is good; as selfish as God is unselfish; and as hateful as God is loving. His name is Satan and he is out to get you. Let’s check out Ephesians 6:10-12.

It is immediately apparent that the Apostle Paul believes in the reality and personality of evil. Someone has said that one of the finest acts of strategy that Satan performs is to convince people that he doesn’t exist. So why do I believe in Satan?

I believe in a personal, real devil because Jesus wanted us about him. In fact, almost all of the clear teaching that we have comes from Jesus’ lips. Jesus is quite specific about the reality and personality of evil as well as the dangers in many passages in the New Testament, including John 8, John 12, Mark 4 and Luke 22. The temptation of Jesus is a prime example of the reality of the devil. Where do you think we found out about the temptation? We didn’t get it from Luke, Matthew or Satan. We got it from Jesus…who didn’t waste words. When Jesus speaks, the wise believer will listen. ...

Another reason I believe in Satan is existential. He is alive and well in our lives today. We’re a sophisticated age enmeshed in technology and science. But if that’s the case, why are so many being drawn into the occult? Evil is a present reality. It proposes a clear and present danger to the body of Christ.

Ephesians 6:10-12 "Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."

Mathew 4:1-11 "Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred. And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple, And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him."

I Peter 5:6-11 "Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen."

Thank God that he warned us and that he fights for us. I am more than ready for the Cavalry charge that will end the forces of the devil on this earth for a while.

Satan is alive and well, living at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., NW, DC. You can find his disciples over at the State Dept, in the White House presidential advisors office, and some in Congress.

They represent evil of many types, but in the end, they are all dangerous to decent Americans and other people around the world.

If you don’t want to call Obama “Satan”, so be it, but he definitely represents a type of “evil” that threatens us all, taking away our rights, one by one, deliberately sacrificing our servicemen and women without any plan to win against the latest evil, ISIS-radical Islam, and by lying with a smile while stabbing western civilization in the back.

Too many Americans have been “tempted” by the devil, be it a spiritual devil and temptation, or a human one doing the same thing.

I have known people who have met “EVIL” or the “DEVIL” in person, especially in the hell of Auschwitz (Dr. Mengele), or in the Soviet, Cuban and No. Vietnamese torture centers from Lubyanka prison, the slave labor camps of Vorkutka, Potma and Lake Baikal, Che’s slaughterhouse in Havana, the No. Korean hellhole in Pyongyang and the No. Vietnamese “Hanoi Hilton” POW camp which my late friend Adm. Denton wrote about in “When Hell was in Session”.

One friend of mine was beaten by Himmler’s Gestapo in Vienna while another was face-to-face with Eichmann in an attempted deal to save tens of thousands of Jewish lives in Occupied Europe. In fact, Dr. William Perl was physically “touched by evil” when Eichmman poked him in the chest and said, “Jew, don’t tell me what to do”. That is about as close to evil as you get unless you were tortured and killed by the purveyors of evil ( the devil is just “evil” upgraded by the letter “D”).

You can also be evil when you do nothing to prevent evil practices. Just look at the White House today and how it has ignored mass slaughters around the world in which a little intervention could have saved tens or hundreds of thousands of lives (Clinton and Rwanda; Obama and ISIS/Boko Harum, and really taking the fight to the Taliban, ISIS junior).

“All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing”. Amended to “is that evil men turn their faces away and do nothing when faced by a greater evil”.

I’m Jewish and my whole European family was wiped out in Lemberg, Belzec and/or Auschwitz because “good men” did nothing to stop it. Today it is Christians who are being wiped out in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, the Sudan, and Nigeria, among other places, largely because Obama and his Marxist minions “do nothing”.
