It was only a matter of time. Ever since Bishop Richard Williamson eventually caused the Society of Saint Pius X (FSSPX / SSPX) to force his own expulsion from that Society in 2012, the watch has been on for him to consecrate one or more bishops. This became even more inevitable as he has failed to recruit any significant number of clergy or faithful away from the SSPX in a so-called "Resistance" attempt.
Rorate can now report at least one consecration will occur on March 19 (Feast of St. Joseph).

I read this earlier today, I think we’re about to see what a real schism looks and sounds like.
I find it odd that the SSPX would know this before anyone in the Resistance.
Curiosity value, essentially.
Bp. Williamson's ministry (which he calls the St. Marcel Initiative) has few followers as evidenced by a perusal of his website (see link), a significant part of which is devoted to selling stuff, promoting speaking engagements and soliciting donations. IOW, raising money.

Apologies.

How can you tell there are “few followers”?
They say so, themselves.....
"Who are these SSPX-SO Resistance Fathers? They are the small but growing number of priests, members and/or good friends of the SSPX under Archbishop Lefebvre and now Bishop Williamson, with the grace and courage to defend the faith and souls and the Church even when their own superiors and so many fellow priests have strayed from the straight and narrow path......."
