I think I would say something like, “If I don’t have any First Amendment Rights in this Class, and you are breaking the law I will gladly drop the class, and (motioning to other students) take these other students with me, for I am a Catholic and a citizen of the United States of America.”

I honestly don't understand why anyone is shocked by this. It's not new. Back in the 80's when I was in college, you figured out if the prof was a lefty and wrote whatever crapola you had to in order to get an A.
I think social media is just making people more aware of it and the left has fully on all levels taken over ALL of academia except for maybe a handful of schools.

Here is another thought on this. My husband is 14 years older than I, all his male teachers were WWII
veterans. Most of my male teachers both HS and college were Vietnam War
draft dodgers in one way or another. In HS the women were some what more conservative, in college most were flaming feminists.
I remember one HS French teacher who never shaved her legs or her pits, but wore sleeveless dresses. I graduate in 1982 from HS, BTW.
