Dear James ,

Because you are a valuable friend of Catholic Answers, you have been selected to participate in a survey to help us improve our apostolate. As a thank-you, we will be giving away 25 signed copies of Tim Staples’s newest book, Behold Your Mother. Combining the best recent scholarship with in-depth knowledge of Scripture, this book offers the most thorough Marian apologetics you’ll find anywhere.

Give us your feedback by 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, 2015 and you will be entered to win one of 25 signed copies of Behold Your Mother!

Click here to start the survey.

Five minutes of your time will help Catholic Answers reach more souls than ever!

If you have any questions about the survey or any difficulty with the link, please contact Anh Nguyen at anguyen@catholic.com, or call 619-387-7200 ext. 333.

Catholic Answers is an apostolate dedicated to serving Christ by bringing the fullness of Catholic truth to the world. We want to be good stewards of our resources to do it as effectively and efficiently as possible. We’re determined to take the Church’s message to the people who need it most, and you can help us to do just that!

With every good wish, I am
Faithfully yours in Christ,

Christopher Check
President

knarf, I think you're missing the humor of who received the email and where it was posted. FWIW, there are no live links out of the email.

I went to the blog and couldn't quite figure out WHAT was what

I fear for my sense of humor ... there's a lot of things I don't 'get' these days

The "Friends of CA" letter was posted there - and here - with all the same sincerity, seriousness, and solicitousness as these threads were posted on FR:

I just got a weird solicitation email from Hillary Clinton. Can I trust it?

"Catholic Answers, based in El Cajon, California, is the largest lay-run apostolate of Catholic apologetics and evangelization in the United States."

There's no reason to not believe it's real ... if you search out a matter

There's no reason to not believe it's real ... if you search out a matter I have no doubt that the letter is real. What's in doubt is the judgment of the sender.

Note here how Jesus replied to the first person to try out the idea of Mary worship.... (with credit to Skip Heitzig for this thought).

That’s funny stuff. I hope he sends in his survey. I’d like to read James Swan’s review of “Behold Your Mother.”

Evidently Catholic Answers bought a mailing list. I've also received some weird things from people who have bought a mailing list. I just ignore them.

I can tell when someone has bought a really old mailing list. They send something for my first wife, who has been dead since 1988.

Wait, Catholic Answers, sent such an email to a non-Catholic?

Why am I not surprised.
