The Lord our Righteousness. Jeremiah 23:6.
It will always give a Christian the greatest calm, quiet, ease, and peace, to think of the perfect righteousness of Christ. How often are the saints of God downcast and sad! I do not think they ought to be. I do not think they would be if they could always see their perfection in Christ. There are some who are always talking about corruption, and the depravity of the heart, and the innate evil of the soul. This is quite true, but why not go a little further, and remember that we are perfect in Christ Jesus. It is no wonder that those who are dwelling upon their own corruption should wear such downcast looks; but surely if we call to mind that Christ is made unto us righteousness, we shall be of good cheer. What though distresses afflict me, though Satan assault me, though there may be many things to be experienced before I get to heaven, those are done for me in the covenant of divine grace; there is nothing wanting in my Lord, Christ hath done it all. On the cross He said, It is finished! and if it be finished, then am I complete in Him, and can rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory, Not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith. You will not find on this side heaven a holier people than those who receive into their hearts the doctrine of Christs righteousness. When the believer says, I live on Christ alone; I rest on Him solely for salvation; and I believe that, however unworthy, I am still saved in Jesus; then there rises up as a motive of gratitude this thoughtShall I not live to Christ? Shall I not love Him and serve Him, seeing that I am saved by His merits? The love of Christ constraineth us, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves but unto Him which died for them. If saved by imputed righteousness, we shall greatly value imparted righteousness.
Charles Spurgeon (1834-1892) taken from: Morning and Evening, Morning devotion for January 31.

Philippians 3:9King James Version (KJV)
9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
Jesus is our righteousness through his atonement. I don’t believe in Saints at all.
For help teaching imputation to your children or grandchildren, I heartily recommend R.C. Sproul’s book “The Priest with Dirty Clothes.” As is the case with all of his books for children, he teaches this profound biblical truth in a way children can understand and remember.

Romans 1:7 - To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called [to be] saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 14:33 - For God is not [the author] of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
Revelation 5:8 - And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four [and] twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.
Revelation 8:3 - And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer [it] with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.

Amen!
How blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, Whose sin is covered! How blessed is the man to whom the LORD does not impute iniquity, And in whose spirit there is no deceit! (Pslam 32:1,2)
The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever. He has not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. Like as a father pities his children, so the LORD pities them that fear him. For he knows our frame; he remembers that we are dust. As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourishes. For the wind passes over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more. But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting on them that fear him, and his righteousness to children's children (Pslam 103:8-17)
Thanks for this. Just what I needed to hear!

Way too many people miss that of in there. It's not our faith. It's the faith of Christ that we are given. Lest anyone should boast about having their own faith.
He is faithful and good and has promised that He will (would):
"For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more."
I choose to believe in Him who has made me pure despite myself. I choose to believe in Him who understands when I cry out, "I believe Lord - help my unbelief".
Indeed.
