Joshua DuBois, former head of the White House Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships, appeared yesterday on MSNBC’s “UP with Steve Kornacki,” during which he defended President Obama’s profoundly insulting anti-Christian remarks at last Thursday’s National Prayer Breakfast in the Nation’s Capital.
The president admonished Christians not to think their faith somehow different than the faith that has produced ISIL (and al Qaeda and Boko Haram and Abu Sayyaf and Hamas and Hezbollah and all too many other Islamic terrorist groups).
“Remember,” spake Obama, “during the Crusades and the Inquisition, people committed terrible deeds in the name of Christ.”
And lest the more than three-quarters of us in this country who count ourselves Christ followers “get on our high horse,” as Obama put it, he reminded us that “slavery and Jim Crow all too often was justified in the name of Christ.”
DuBois, whom Time Magazine in 2009 anointed Obama’s “pastor-in-chief,” maintained during his MSNBC appearance that the president spoke the gospel truth. That earned him a stinging rebuke from, of all talking heads, MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell, who was guesting on Kornacki’s show alongside DuBois.
O’Donnell told Obama’s spiritual adviser that it was absurd to suggest some sort of parallel between the Crusades – the last of which was all the way back in the 15th century – and the unholy war waged today by ISIL. He also told DuBois it was ridiculous to blame Christianity for racial bigotry.
DuBois, raised in the African Methodist Episcopal church, has on a previous occasion vouched for Obama’s Christian faith. “I happen to know the president personally,” he said, “and know his heart and know he’s a believer.”
Well, if Obama is a true Christ follower, he certainly doesn’t show it. Indeed, the president “rarely goes to church and has spent just one Christmas morning of his presidency in the pews,” as reported by Politico this past December.
But it is by his fruits – his unGodly policies – that we know this president.
Indeed, Obama has given his presidential blessing to gay marriage, dismissing the warning of the Apostle Paul that neither “homosexuals, nor sodomites…will inherit the kingdom of God.”
The president also has cast his lot with the nation’s abortionists, who have slaughtered more than five million unborn children since Obama has been in the White House. The Prophet Amos declared that the Lord’s punishment awaits those that have “ripped open the woman with child.”
What particularly galls about Obama is that he represents himself as a man of faith because he selectively quotes Scripture and invokes the name of the Lord.
Well, as the Bard wrote in the “Merchant of Venice,” “The devil can cite Scripture for his purpose.” And as Christ Himself advised, “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father.”
Indeed, that Obama shows up each year for the National Prayer Breakfast doesn’t prove him a “believer.” No, it exposes the professed Christian as a deceiver.
For pity sake - how can ANYONE still think that this abortion supporting, homosexual supporting, muslim defender is a Christian???!!!!
It would be interesting to ask Obama if he believes in the divinity and resurrection of Jesus Christ and how he defines a “Christian”.

YEARS ago he said that he saw Jesus as a historical figure. In the same Q&A he said that he did not believe Jesus is the only way to salvation.
He still needs to be asked the question of resurrection.
To the title question, he is a muslim.
They profess to know God, but they deny him by their works. They are detestable, disobedient, unfit for any good work.
He was born to Atheist Communist parents. He was raised in an Islamic environment, school in Indonesia, an almost totally Muslim country, he was raised by communists, his grandparents, and mentored by a communist, F.M. Davis and by his own admission sought out and associated only with communists in school. Communists are not, by definition and avocation, Christians. He attended a Black Liberation Church for 20 years. They did not preach Christian humility. Obama a Christian? Hah!!!

Anyone who thinks he’s a Christian is an idiot.
But let’s assume those in the 1500s did horrible things in the name of Christ. Does that it make okay for the muslims to do horrible things today? Oh, how I despise that man.

Obama has a “smorgasbord Christianity” ... which you construct yourself, according to what tastes good to you. This is the Christianity of many in the USA, besides Obama. Obama is not alone there, as this is true of a large segment of the USA population.
SO ... if one were to look at true Biblical Christianity, from an inerrant and infallible Bible, with the Bible being the ONLY SOURCE of authority ... THEN ... one would have to say Obama is NOT A CHRISTIAN, despite him thinking so. BUT THEN AGAIN, neither is a large segment of our society Christians, despite them saying so!
