I generally figure it is because he doesn't know what he thinks when he starts writing, but instead just "if/then's" it through some rationalization .... and I always figure its about 2AM when he's doing it.

I always wish the author would prepare them with what is a standard, accepted form of stating the hypothesis, then the proof, then restating the hypothesis. I always hate needing to read for 25 minutes before you figure out what the guy believes and what he is trying to say.
Agree 100 %. I’m guessing he’s a “can’t see the forest for the trees” type of guy and seems to be very fluent in Christianese but I’m guessing he might argue with you, get angry, and curse at you if you disagreed with him missing the whole point of what it is to be a Christ follower....I could be wrong though
