Funny, first thing I thought of was voting!

My Mom was so devoted to the Souls in Purgatory! She learned it from her mother. Whenever something came up that my Mom didn't want to do, or that made her frustrated, my grandmother would tell her to offer it up, per l'anime sante "for the Holy Souls

I see in our forums people of good will who don't believe in Purgatory. We need to pray and offer suffrage for the people they have lost, too! God bless you! : )

Purgatory reminds me of the Assumption. These two things aren't in Scripture so many Protestants won't believe them.
The Popes have spoken on this and we Catholics believe in papal authority with regards to faith and morals. But, Protestants have no one leader a la St. Peter, so in many respects they are "rudderless." I suppose that's why there are so many different Protestant denominations throughout the world.
