How about from the Lord that they are about? Some folks are so intent on the altar that they can’t see Christ any other place... a slight to an omnipresent God....

Sad that his “strength” wasn’t from a personal relationship with God. It’s good to attend church and it’s good to observe the ordinance of Communion, but if you get strength from activities instead of directly from God, it’s a case of the tail wagging the dog.

But it is mainly the deeds of a love so noble that lead many to put a brand upon us. "See," they say, "how they love one another," for themselves are animated by mutual hatred; "how they are ready even to die for one another," for they themselves will sooner put to death.

I weep when I consider how many pagans and scoffers must have been converted by the solid Christian example found on our very own forum. How different we are from the world!
