Wow, and I thought
our lines were long (in a Penance service we had for Advent yesterday)!
(How do you say "patience" in Spanish?)
God bless those priests and those sinners.

(How do you say "patience" in Spanish?) Not sure about Spanish but the Italians flail their hands and shout: "pazienza"! ... usually followed by an expletive with yet another hand gesture - no translation necessary ;-)

Sorry to have to oust this here, but all I can do is post and recieve mail, not respond or compose. (The response when I try says I’m too new!) May I please be on your ping list? Thank you! God bless!

Thank you for that one! I needed a good laugh! I’m Italian, too and know exactly what you mean: and probably the gestures, as well! : )

I once had a priest friend tell me that if the Confessional were an airplane, I’d be getting frequent flyer miles!

Hi!
If you have trouble finding Confession in your parish, check out any local shrines where you live. Sometimes Confessions are scheduled; sometimes there’s a priest on the premises whom you may ask; you may even be able to call and schedule an appointment. I’ve had to do that where I live, and it worked for me!

Even parish priests will also schedule confessions as well.

My parish this Advent is doing not only the regular parish Saturday time of 3:00PM-3:45PM, but special Advent Tuesdays confessions from 5:30PM-6:30PM. Also by appointment as well.
Also retreat houses/shrines offer confessions.

Welcome to Free Republic!!
- and welcome to the Catholic Ping List. The list is intended to notify members on news and other articles of possible interest to Catholics.
As a newcomer to FreeRepublic, you may be wondering how to post a comment using italics, bold or colored text. Back in 2004, FR created the following thread where you can learn some HTML and practice certain techniques. Have fun in the HTML Sandbox.
Should you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to let me know. Again, "Welcome to FR!"

Love it! The goal would be to get an upgrade to First Class!
To: SpirituTuo
Good one! I’ll have to tell him that one on my next “flight!”
