In a new video, megachurch leader and author Rick Warren is calling for Christians to unite with Roman Catholics and “Pope Francis,” who Warren recently referred to as the “Holy Father”—a move that is raising concerns among Christians nationwide and is resulting in calls for Warren to repent.

Warren made the comments following his visit to the Vatican last month, where he spoke at an interfaith conference on the “Complementarity of Man and Woman.”...

rick Warren is of the One World government UN Agenda 21 NGOs and so forth. Get the picture Age of Aquarius New Age meta-Physics. What do you expect from the Church Growth Movement - sold out to the devil for big is better. the christian has to be accepting that many ways lead to eternal life. That is what he advocates. Look at the Porpoise (Purpose) Driven Church. Keep in mind the way to heaven is by a narrow way, not a big vast hole. It is sad that so many have been cdeceived by Warren. I can will remember RicK Warrens book was brought into seminary in 1995. There were a number of us students whom stated no the Purpose Driven Church is advocating a new gospel that was no gospel at all. the seminary removed the book from the required curriculia

Oh, Jan. There is only One True God. You know that.

There are millions, maybe billions of Monotheists who worship the One True God who nevertheless have odd admixures of doctrine about Him, some true, some ambiguous and some dreadfully and dangerously erroneous. We can, and must, make distinctions between these doctrines in kind and in degree.

We pray for those who reverence God as Creator, to see that He has sent His Son to be our Savior.

We pray for those who do not believe in Christ crucified, the Redeemer of the World.

The pastor at our former church bought a copy of Purpose Driven Life for every single household in the church. I tried reading it, but even though I love to read I couldn’t get past the first chapter. No great discernment on my part, I think God was just protecting me from deceptive teaching.

So many are deceived by his teaching that it is shocking. Too many of us read books by Christian authors rather than God’s word.

Allah is the Arabic word for "God" or "the God," no more and no less. This word was used by Arabic-speaking Christians for THE ONE GOD for 500+ years before Muhammad was even born, and is STILL used by Arabic-speaking Christians to this day.

Just think if your pastor would have purchased everyone a Bible with his favorite verses highlighted (assuming he even reads the Bible). Rick Warren is a very damaging false teach. He teaches that Bible Prophesy is not important and a "distraction" and he offers a gospel God's purpose without repentance. Not one page in his book addresses repentance and confessing sin...

Once again you are misinformed. Even Muslims don't believe this. Allah has "No Son". He is the god that demands his followers to "smite the neck" of infidels. Allah has 99 names attributed to him (some of them from a horror movie). Just because it is a generic term does not mean that it is the same god.

By the way...Baal means "Lord". Is Baal the Lord of the Bible?

We don't know God's plans. How can we? We do our best to stay as close to the good Lord as we can and try NOT to condemn others because they don't follow our beliefs.

I can unite with Catholics on political issues, and we should be friends-but there is a theological gulf with ROME that I cannot overcome.
