It is Satan who roars at us with temptation, fear, and sheer volume, so that we are distracted and confused. God more often is that still, small voice speaking from the depth of our heart.

So very true.
Monsignor Pope is quoting the Bible. Too bad you have a problem with that — or do you?
Pope is quoting an uninspired translation of the Bible, and is speaking with no more authority than the Christians in my comment. I am sure you know the difference.
But that is not the question. You took the cheap ride, by implying that the author of the spiritual song and the blogger are not portraying Biblical truths.
Frankly, your rude comments do not suggest that you do understand the doctrine of salvation well enough to comment, where the issue is "In Times Like These, You Need A Savior" as well as Ruth Caye Jones did. Or even Msgr. Pope.
I do not wish to engage in more discussion of this with you, especially on this day set aside for honoring the Lord Jesus, the Author, Finisher, and Rock of our Salvation.
**uninspired translation **
I have never heard that before. What do you mean here?
**Frankly, your rude comments **
What comments?
I do not know those people. I will take the world of the Lord, Jesus Christ.
What Catholic sacraments did these people receive?
All translations of the Bible are "uninspired".
Oops.
I will take the word of the Lord, Jesus Christ.
Yep.
