Nothing surprises me anymore. The reality is that when a Christian is attacked, but in a special a Catholic Christian, Jesus is in turned, attacked.

When I was in junior high, our priest angrily informed us if we went on a hayride sponsored by our friend’s Baptist church, we’d go to Hell.

Everybody has a pet peeve; I guess the Catholic church is this teachers’ peeve.

If that’s the math teacher’s answer then he should be able to show the work.

Mother superior in my catholic grade school had me and me droogs in her office for some unremembered criminal offense. We were 8th graders and moving on to high school. She asked us each what HS we were going to. My buddy ‘ moochy ‘, Told her he was going to public HS. She told him it was a mortal sin(on his parents) not to go to Caholic HS if his parents could afford it. I thought that was pretty lame for Sister to say

The proper response to the math teacher is, “Perhaps ... but at least we’d be out of your math class!”

A member of our church, brought up Catholic, told me when she was a little girl in parochial school a nun told her the same thing about her non-Catholic father. This kind of thing is utter hubris either way (and cruel in the nun’s case).

Their math teacher told them that if they join the Catholic Church, they'll go to Hell. So if they join the Catholic Church they will have to take his class again?

Who is morely likely to have understood Jesus than the first two generations of Christians? we have the same understanding of Christ today as did the early church.
only catholic arrogance would assume otherwise and teach otherwise. sad to see how the catholic church has deviated from the Word.

I recently had a few young men looking to join the Catholic Church. Their math teacher told them that if they join the Catholic Church, they'll go to Hell. What does a YouTube video have to do with the above sentence?

The person who told them this was obviously wrong. You will neither go to hell by joining the catholic church, nor go to heaven by joining the catholic church. Same is true for every other denomination
Salvation comes only to those who by faith, totally entrust themselves to Him and to His complete sacrifice alone.

There were four generations of true followers of The Way before the catholic church was founded or even thought of.

My wife’s Catholic. I go to mass with her periodically, and support her faith. I’m Buddhist (Tibetan) for 25 years, raised Methodist, earned God and Country Award with the Boy Scouts, read the entire Bible formally three times and still browse it from time to time, and am likely more conversant with it than most Christians. I am mostly sympathetic to the Christian religious tradition, and well aware of its importance on this web site and within the conservative community altogether:
Concerning this type of interdenominational nonsense, I’d like to politely request that folks knock it off. Attack me if you must, but leave each other alone. Sheesh!
