Well...

Given that we've spent the past 40 or 50 years proving that serial polygamy is pretty much a disaster for children, why not let them as wants to try it go back to parallel polygamy?

I say, any man who's masochistic enough to try being married to more than one woman at a time ought to be allowed to do so. At least the kids will know who their daddy is.

With all that is going on in this country a Mormon having more than one wife is not high on my priority list.

A relic of barbarism is what the founders of the Grand Old Party called it.

And I agree with them.

Mormon Polygamy was for a certain time period only. I had pioneer ancestors who’s husbands died and they entered polygamy for their and their childrens survival. I think of it as the Lord’s welfare system. The need is no longer there. Similar to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. When there is a need the Lord commands polygamy; otherwise monogamy is commanded.

The LDS church is based on monogamy even in countries where polygamy is legal.

Since the LDS church is now a world-wide church with 15million members and not an American church..... there would be no difference whether the USA allowed polygamy or not.

To me, polygamy makes more sense than homosexual marriage.

1 man, 1 woman= civilization. Anything else is barbarism.
