Mormon Polygamy was for a certain time period only. I had pioneer ancestors who’s husbands died and they entered polygamy for their and their childrens survival. I think of it as the Lord’s welfare system. The need is no longer there. Similar to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. When there is a need the Lord commands polygamy; otherwise monogamy is commanded.
The LDS church is based on monogamy even in countries where polygamy is legal.
Since the LDS church is now a world-wide church with 15million members and not an American church..... there would be no difference whether the USA allowed polygamy or not.
Now don’t go confusing them with FACTS!
They don’t want to hear it.
About 9 1/2 out of 10 Freepers feel it’s their duty to bash Mormons. ... and spout their ignorance of the church with great ‘authority’ and hatred.
Ignore them. Kinda like ‘don’t kick a skunk’ - indeed, feel sorry for them. After all, Wherever they go, for the rest of their lives. there they are. They’re stuck with themselves...

Matt 19:5-6
5 and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’? 6 So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.”
NIV
What does TWO mean?
