BTW, I am all for sharing my faith online and countering the claims of your cult.

I think our poster has inferred NOT being Mormon; but merely WORKING at the Mormon controlled Deseret News.

2. That anyone who works for Deseret News *must be* (or perhaps was at one time) Mormon.
We employ a variety of people from different backgrounds, myself and Herb included. (We even have a coffee machine on our floor!!) http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/religion/3223155/posts?page=57#57

Again, the National does not cater specifically to the Mormon church, but to a variety of denominations and people with broad faith and family values.

Quite true.

But what PERCENTAGE of your readers are Mormon?

I won’t address the other comments because we do not write with specific Mormon audiences in mind, but rather a wider audience with broader values on faith and family.

How about the GENERAL Mormon audience?

For children to prosper, they require an education that enhances reasoning, communication and problem-solving skills.

Working for the cult is agreeing with the cult and their deception. Not my fault when someone doesn’t stand up for their principles.

Spare me the propaganda. DN is owned and operated by the LDS church with a focus on them and spreading their lies.

True...let’s see what plays out...if there is a source willing to put forth some “new” positions on things LDS, it just might provide some opportunities.

You think that worshiping your mental machinations with the bible is the same thing... it ain’t.

When you meet the actual Lord, the real McCoy, it will be unmistakable.

I worship God as He revealed himself in Scripture, not some idolatrous manifestation invented by twisted evil men influenced by Satan.

Well; she doesn't ACTUALLY state she's NOT a Mormon; merely her BACKGROUND isn't.

"We employ a variety of people from different backgrounds, myself and Herb included."

So; where is she today?

I'd like to hear any NEW promotional tactics.

I do know that SLC's retentional tactics need quite a bit of work...

I think a better question is not “What percentage of your readers are mormon?” but “What religions would you like your readers to be apart of?” And I can assure you the answer to that is religions of all kinds, equally.

Yeah. All my remedial catechism, and for what?

Sedevacantists to the right of me! Sadoevangelicals to the left of me! And then sedes on the left and sados to the right! And then do-si-do and scramble the pixels, and we're all trampled by a cavalry of Mohammadans with scimitars! Mohammadans who don't post online! And then...

Oops. Sorry. That was just a dream. What I get for eating sausage after 8:00 PM.

Actually, all is peace and the serene sharing of religious truth, here at the joyful fellowship known as Free Republic!

Good evening, all, and grace be with you.
