If you study the Council of Nicea, while the Arius and his theology was rejected, many Bishops still supported him and within 20 or so years after the Council, most Bishops in the Eastern part of the Roman Empire were full fledge Arians. By the 370’s, Saint Jerome was referenced to have said, the whole world groaned at the thought of Arianism being triumphant, or something to that effect. That was over the eternal relationship of Christ to the Father, i.e. is Divinity, etc.
A win is a win or the orthodox, the weak knee bishops are just that, wimps.
