He is used to messes, had to manage multiple sexual abuse charges against priests in Vermont.
We just got back from a road trip through NY, PA, MA, Vt and back through Michigan. We went to Mass several times. One third empty churches but sometimes surprisingly good music and homilies. We talked to one priest who was sad about the decline of attendance and low numbers in the seminary but listened to a deacon in Niagara Falls rejoice about the large numbers of seminarians in Buffalo. So mixed bag. A Church in transition. At our parish we have standing room only and when our pastor gave the State of the Parish speech last Sunday he got three rounds of applause and a standing ovation.
WTG Bishop!

I don’t think that will happen.
I hope and pray you’re right!
