So, you're saying you have read the linked article?
That's the homosexual objective. Destroy existing, long-standing traditions and institutions. People will tune out the parade as a result and it'll be a shell of its former self. Then the homosexual activists will move on to another venue.
You are a Protestant - whatsa matter? Afraid of posting your sect because it embraces homosexuality, abortion rights, animal rights, euthanasia while distaining the great art of the Western world? You guys actually APPOINT lesbos and gay guys to the ministry.
Catholics HAVE NOT embraced homosexuality.
Since Im a Christian instead of Catholic, <-— dumb comment
The reason for what, your words?

You are right. I did not. My apologies. It does state that excommunications do happen but rarely and not en masse.
Having said that, it seems to me that we are in a situation which is unprecedented. And yet not one of these bishops have been excommunicated. I mean even just one would send a strong message to others. Instead, recent popes have allowed them to continue along the same non-Catholic path. Why is that?
Every Catholic needs to honestly consider the answer to that question because Houston, we have a (serious) problem.

NYC is so corrupted that the Parade will be forever tainted if it stays there.
If the groups march simply as participants under the banner of St. Patrick, there should not be any scandal.
If they raise their rainbow flag or any banner indicating they are queer, for abortion or anything else, the intention of the parade to honor the saint is lost.
Cardinal Dolan needs to look east and use the example of the Iraqi and Syrian bishops, priests, religious and laity to understand faith in the face of extreme persecution because he is making a mockery of their sacrifices and martyrdom.
Welcoming the sinner is one thing. Endorsing the sin is quite another.
It has never been under the purview of the Diocese from what I understand. It has always been a private group in charge of the Parade. The Ancient Order of Hibernians wasn't part of the Diocese, and neither is the new group running the parade. It's a CULTURAL event, not a religious one.
