“Moderate” Muslims are Muslim the way most of the UCC and UMC are Christian.
That’s because it is okay under Muslim law to “be gay” when you are on a Jihad.
I agree with your statement but freedom of religion means they can worship as they wish. Though I do not agree with their tenets, I see this as a good sign.
I see two paths for the world. Either there is a reform movement in Islam or at some time in the future an Islamic caliphate will drag us into WWIII.
Islam is a supremacist, totalitarian ideology. Hopefully this group will not be the only reform group.
The Christian parallel is the protestant movement which consists of many sects, Baptist, Methodist, etc.

What a bunch of baloney. Sounds like something AP would promote, the idea that Muslims are assimilating by becoming liberals! Of course, secular liberals and Muslims work together because both groups hate traditional Western civilization. But if the Muslims take over, their former secular liberal allies would be the first to go. It’s likely to happen in Europe in a few decades.

I talk with people that travel the middle east regularly and they will tell you there is a huge number of gay men. They don’t advertise it but the percentage is much higher than it is here. This of course varies according to where they are.
Women are for marrying and producing offspring but that doesn’t slow them with their gay activities.
Ironically, no amount of bombs and missiles can weaken Islam as much as the virus of liberalism. Nobody in power within Christiandom follow Bible literally after five hundred years of steady supply of liberalism. With the fast paced information age, Islam can be made impotent within decades.

Faith and a faith are two different things, aren't they?
Faiths do morph in that new "inventions" occur. The Bible didn't have our vehicles, modern chemicals, travel abilities, etc. But the SINS involved in those things are still the same: PRIDE, greed, gluttony, etc., aren't they?
Well, I'm not second-guessing Our Lord, just musing.
