My Mother was one of 13 children. Her parents wanted as many as they could have. They were a very close family.

They lived on a thousand acre farm and were pretty well off. As one might think, they all worked from around the age of six. Every one of them were solid citizens except the youngest.

He was pretty wild but us kids loved for him to visit. He was always up to something fun. It took until he was around 50 but he too eventually turned into a solid citizen and his kids and grandchildren became unusually successful.

Daddy came from a family of 9 kids. We sort of looked upon them as a small family.
