Funny, this wasn't an issue during the primary campaign. In fact I had no idea what Cantor's religious affiliation was.

Just why is it important now?

Cantor’s backers tried to paint both of his opponents as anti-semites.

There were whispers in 2000 when Cantor ran.

I dont think Cantor was involved. But his campaign people wanted to use the issue.

The libs are becoming quite entertaining with their multiple silly little explanations of why we are kicking RINO bu...er...Obamaholes out of office.

So they have played the “Jooooooos” card now.

Bwahahahaha.

there will likely be no Republicans in Congress who profess to be anything other than a Christian."

So? Show me a single democrat who will profess being a Christian.

Washington Post reporter Aaron Blake told CNN on Tuesday that candidate George W. Bush "just didn't pay a high enough price" in the 2000 election for his DUI arrest that occurred more than 20 years prior.

NB Publisher Bozell Slams WashPost Blogger for Requesting Dirt on Gingrich Via Twitter
By NB Staff | November 29, 2011 | 17:55

The Washington Post should either fire Aaron Blake or “acknowledge that it doesn’t have a semblance of objectivity left to it,” NewsBusters publisher Brent Bozell told Fox News Channel’s Neil Cavuto on his Your World program this afternoon.

The Media Research Center (MRC) founder was reacting to this November 28 tweet by the Post political blogger (video of segment follows page break):

Left pivots from ‘Tea Party is dead’ to ‘Tea Party hates Jews’ after Cantor loses

Dave Wasserman @Redistrict

There will be lots of 2nd guessing tmw on Cantor loss . Surely will focus on debt ceiling/leadership role, but his religion a role too?

Really? This is the spin the left is going to put on the VA-7 primary? House majority leader Eric Cantor lost his primary because Republicans don’t like Jews?

OK, I’ll suggest to Murray Sabrin that he run and we will have a Jewish republican in the house.

Since no Christian denomination considers Mormonism Christian, why would an anti-Christian newspaper call it Christian?
