Pagans have many gods for different areas of life. When the Catholic Church wanted to “bring them into the fold” what better way than to replace their “gods” with “saints”? >>But is there such a thing as a heavenly prayer committee so to speak... maybe.<<

We go directly to the Father “in Jesus name”. When we approach the Throne of Father God He sees Jesus just as a banker would see the original person who gave power of attorney to someone to do business “in his name”. Is there any more direct than that? I think not.

And there isn’t anything better, and the bible itself robustly supports the personal Christ paradigm.

A heavenly prayer committee could at best serve a minor role. And the concept could easily be turned to that of actual dependency, which buggers the entire concept (pardon the expression). No, we depend on Christ. We still DO pray for one another.
