The pollution is older than the Catholic-Orthodox split, really.
That’s why I see “coming out” as a matter of attitude. And a Catholic could do that without changing the building he or she worships in. As is said elsewhere, God is letting the tares sit with the wheat because that’s better for the wheat until it is ready.
I’ll agree on the “attitude” but there will need to be action as well I believe. Incorporating paganism will not be tolerated.
