I’m not so sure it would help... knowing where evil minds can go (I’ve been pretty evil sometimes, though not in THAT manner) they might say that well, God won that one but now we have punked Him.
No ARTIFACT can do what the actual spirit of God will.

The Sodom and Gomorrah story should be interpreted literally. If it were, maybe the sodomites would still be in the closet.If a strictly literal interpretation is taken, God quantified the minimum level of righteousness required to avoid divine destruction.
