Freedom of Religion means the state cannot endorse or force people to attend a state church against their will.
It doesn’t prevent anyone of faith including clergy from running for office.
Of course the atheists want to basically TWIST it to make Atheism the Offical State Religion....
For crying out loud in San Antonio they have effectively BANNED anyone religious from holding office.
