New tool from “Catholics Come Home” helps Catholics make a good confession

As Catholic Come Home states on a commercial, people can always "ask God to edit their life story and create the ideal ending.” This online platform launched a new website full of resources to help people discover how Confession can improve their spiritual lives.

It's called GoodConfession.com, and its promotional video compares sin to a "heavy burden” one gets rid of thanks to Confession.

GoodConfession offers users a guide to identify what temper they have, as well as different models to examine their conscience, depending on whether they are married, single or teenagers.

One of the most interesting parts of the website, though, is called "Struggles with Sin.”  It gives a full explanation of what sin is, what types of sins there are, and what is the best way to fight them.

As the Catholic Church invites everyone to go Confession, specially during Lent, GoodConfession.com wants Catholics "to flood confessionals” during this period.

TOPICS: Apologetics; Catholic; Moral Issues; Prayer
KEYWORDS: confession; lent

Ah, this is coming at a great time!

Next weekend my Catholic Daughters of the Americas court is hosting our state mini retreat and we will be going to confession with our state chaplain.

As usual, you are a God send:) Thanks

God is certainly in charge. God brought us a great Pope and a renewal of the Catholic Church to the likes it has not seen in awhile. People are flocking to Mass again. Wonderful! We had to add masses on Sunday to keep up with the influx and this is in communist Maryland.

Lay your burden down, lay your burden down, lay your burden down at the foot of the Cross.

I posted this to another thread but it is also applicable to this one too:

We had a confirmation teen become pregnant. She still wanted to be confirmed and after meeting with our Pastor, he allowed her to continue. When we had the Reconciliation service, she came to me and nervously stated she did not remember the date she got pregnant to confess to the Priest! I smiled and told her to just speak from her heart. She came out of the confessional with a beautiful glow.
P.S. Before I knew she was pregnant, I (really was the Holy Spirit) gave her small class group the assignment to make a poster about the Church’s position on abortion. She did a beautiful job of taking the Catechism words into a simple message for the class.
P.P.S. There are few things in life that are “100%” but one I have observed is that teens that voluntarily go to Confession come out with a feeling of joy and love (Mercy has been given). When I question them on this they say getting Absolution from the Priest makes a difference to them than just their daily prayers to God the Father/Son/Holy Spirit. This is from young people that do not yet know the theological arguments put forth on this forum. Just sayin......
