Thankfully they live within the nation of Israel so their rulers will provide some level of protection. Were they in the Palestinian territories they would come under the Moslem civil authorities as the poor Christians in Bethlehem have found to their sorrow.
We were in the Holy Land in 1999. I thought Nazareth was a real dump, full of low-lifes, kind of scary. Beautiful church there, tho. I forget its name.

Might be interesting to visit a palestinian ‘church’...Have to wonder if the priests are prevented from teaching the bible as it is in the US...Perhaps the palestinian Christians are a mix of muzlim/Christians which would preclude them from becoming actual Christians...
