Not only controlling racial populations. Some 20-odd yrs ago there was an article in Time about genetic science. These scientists stated that they may one day be able to determine personality traits from fetal DNA samples. They specifically mentioned that certain as-yet undiscovered genes or mutations can predetermine, for example a propensity toward anti-social/criminal behavior or homosexuality. If there really is such a thing as a “mean” gene or a gay gene, they will eventually be discovered. And all the hand wringing and pontifications over medical ethics will not prevent the cat from getting out of the bag. Then it will only be a matter of time before a woman seeks an abortion only because her doc told her the “unviable tissue mass” growing in her is carrying one or both of these genetic traits. Then we’ll see if reproduction rights trump LGBTQFUBAR rights. The earth may fall off it’s axis as pro choicers turn into pro lifers. I knda hope I live long enough to watch the fireworks ;)
