A US police captain says he believed a story about a woman who claimed her children were possessed by demons.
Latoya Ammons, from Indiana, said her three children walked up walls, levitated and spoke in voices.
Official reports filed in 2012 backed up her claims, with psychologists stating that they saw the nine-year-old child speak in "different deep voices" and walk "up the wall backwards".
"He flipped over and landed on his feet," they added.
Gary Police Captain Charles Austin, who has more than 35 years of experience, said he had been convinced by the story.
According to a local newspaper, the Indianapolis Star, he described himself as a "believer" after visiting the house and interviewing Ms Ammons and her family.
'Growling noises'
Official Indiana state documents detail more events, apparently witnessed by medical experts and those outside the family.
The children's names were removed from the papers to protect their identities.
"Medical staff reported they observed the children and heard the seven-year-old making growling noises and his eyes rolled into the back of his head.
"They observed [name blank] lifted and thrown into the wall with nobody touching him."
The report also detailed the time when the seven-year-old "walked up the wall" in front of a number of medical professionals.
"[Name blank] began to have a weird smile on his face and he charged at the grandmother's stomach and head butted her several times until she grabbed his hands and started praying.
"[He] was speaking in a different deep voice saying 'It's time to die,' 'l will kill you,' and staring around the room.
"[He] had the weird grin on his face and began to walk backwards while the grandmother was holding his hand and he walked up the wall backwards while holding the grandmother's hand and he never let.....

“Ghost Adventures” host Zak Bagans has taken on his most terrifying project yet — he just bought a house in Indiana ... believed to be the site of one of the most terrifying demonic possessions ever ... a rumored “portal to hell.”
The house rose to fame in 2012 ... after a mother who lived there reported her 12-year-old daughter and 9-year-old son had been possessed. Among the many scary incidents, the mother says she witnessed her daughter levitating above her bed.
She also said she saw her son walking on their ceiling ... an account corroborated by several other witnesses. The mother did everything she could to de-demonize the house — including building an altar and hiring an exorcist — but nothing worked and she eventually moved.
Zak tells us, he caught wind of the horrifying tale and made an offer to purchase the home for $35,000 — the owner was all too willing to sell.
Zak says he’s going to live there and document his experience — “If it’s true this home is a portal to hell, then I want to go there and see what happens.”

Well, at first glance, I'd say the house does have some magical qualities: It just made 35K disappear.
The chief demon’s greatest accomplishment has been to convince his victims that he does not exist.
Remember the AMITYVILLE HORROR and how it swept the country years ago. Books, movies, tabloids really played it up as real!
Then years later the authors and promoters finally admitted it was all fake, a fraud.
The witness accounts by the local sheriff as well as child protective services, nurses, and doctors all corroborate and certainly lend towards this being a pretty bonafide case.
One is right to be leery of such tales, but some of the witnesses were people who had NOTHING to gain by it, social workers, psychiatrists, police also saw the phenomenon. I would agree that true demonic possession is rare, but this seem like it might be a true case.
If he does, so much for monotheism.
Zak has a showman personality, as his buddies/partners happily confess (he made their show possible with his personality), but I tend to think he’s not a faker. I’ve seen their program and I’ve read their story from other sources, and the feel I get for the fellow is that he genuinely likes to go places where he might get brutalized by unseen forces for the purpose of catching it on film, if possible.
The problem is that ghosts are not scriptural, as, after death, is the judgment. The only possibility then is, if any of the phenomena these kinds of groups document is real, that these are demons impersonating human beings, as in “Familiar spirits.” Since Zak and crew are not Christian, they take everything they experience at face-value.
This is the 21st Century. We should have video from SEVERAL different sources to verify this, not just one or not just a written account. Get some professional illusionists to also watch and verify it.

Yup. I did this trick with my daughter when she was 5 or 6. I held her hands, and with her feet she walked backwards up the wall. Of course, we were both laughing and having a good time. It was easy because she was light and her arms and legs were strong. I just couldn’t get her to stick on the ceiling without falling (I caught her, so she didn’t get hurt).
Care to explain that cryptic remark?

First, although I am agnostic with regard to the divinity of Jesus, it's necessary for me to state that the United States could not have been founded without Christianity.
That said, I'm an Old Testament believer who sees numerous instances of God at work in Creation, but observes not a single scrap of evidence for the devil or Satan until humanity becomes capable of abstracting evil from its own mind.
Of Adam and Eve I believe the beguiling serpent is God Himself giving Man the ability to choose good from evil based on that achieved level of abstraction.
I claim it undermines monotheism to perceive of more than The One God in and beyond existence, which otherwise opens up legions of hobgoblins and angels prowling the universe. Regardless they be called gods, lesser gods, assistants, lightbringers, etc., it detracts from He who should be worshipped.
As humans, we can become pretty evil all on our own without the assistance of, or the necessity of pinning our shortcomings on this critter.
