Why don’t you send him an email and ask him.
From what nation did your ancestors come? Were they some who immigrated to the United States and were told “Catholics Need Not Apply”?
Are you really defending this guy?
Soon to be followed by letters written by children of bank robbers for amnesty followed by letters written by children of drug dealers all for more amnesty from lawbreakers.
I am not in favor of illegal immigration. I support legal immigration. I would hope everyone would.
Thanks for sharing.
He should read gun control letters as well.
Congress has no purpose. They should just act on the whims of children’s letters.
LA is a great example of gun control, diversity and open borders.
This article isn’t about legal immigration, it’s about amnesty for illegal aliens, which it seems is being championed by various officials of many denominations, including the Roman Catholic Church. How did legal immigration come up?
At least the illegals have they're priorities straight! Forget about praying for BO so he can stop taxpayer funded infanticide, at home and abroad.
. . . who were molested or raped by their fellow countrymen.
. . . who's parents were killed by their drunk driving fellow countrymen.
I’ve got sone “Letters” to read right here from suffering US taxpayers!!!!!!
As a Californian and a Catholic, I have come to expect very little from our so-called Bishops and Archbishops. To quote the late Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen,
“WHO IS GOING TO SAVE OUR CHURCH? NOT OUR BISHOPS, NOT OUR PRIESTS AND RELIGIOUS. IT IS UP TO THE PEOPLE. YOU HAVE THE MINDS, THE EYES, THE EARS TO SAVE THE CHURCH. YOUR MISSION IS TO SEE THAT YOUR PRIESTS ACT LIKE PRIESTS, YOUR BISHOPS, LIKE BISHOPS, AND YOUR RELIGIOUS ACT LIKE RELIGIOUS.
I agree. Plenty of smart American students are busting their butts studying engineering, computer science, physics, etc. We don’t need thousands of Indian and Paki “engineers” with two year degrees from foreign universities edging out Americans.
A letter from Karla, a 15-year old girl born in Los Angeles, told Pope Francis she has a very religious family. Both her parents and her two older siblings are immigrants from Mexico.
My mom is slowly going blind, and my dad has a heart problem. My sister is in a wheelchair, and she needs medical help, but they cant get the medical help they need because they dont have their legal documents, she said.
What I note here is with such pressing medical issues that everybody expects America to furnish free medical care. If Archbishop José Gomez of Los Angeles,is standing there telling the world he has no connections, the church has no money, all the Pope can do is pray about it. The church has billions for scandals, lawyers, everyone is helpless and wants America to pickup the tab. They same can be said for Mexico, they cant get the medical help they need because they dont have their legal documents, but Archbishop José Gomez of Los Angeles, is not at all concern about that.Countries like Mexico, never have to take any responsibility. They pass all their problems off on us.But Archbishop José Gomez of Los Angeles formy mom is slowly going blind, and my dad has a heart problem. So the Archbishop cannot find any church members to provide free medical care - nor can he find church members who are willing to make donations to pay for any medical bills ?
Gomez's extreme activism on this matter is an abuse of his office. The duties of a Catholic bishop are to teach, sanctify and govern. Political activism and promoting social engineering that undermines the rights of one group in favor of another and furthermore condones lawless behavior while doing so is most definitely not on his list of duties.

"Pope Benedict Says Nations Have the Right to Secure their Borders"
"Pope Benedict XVI reiterated the Catholic church's position on immigration, saying that nations have the right to regulate the flow of migrants and secure their borders. His comment is consistent with what the church has said in the past, but contradicts the position of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops.
In his statement, Pope Benedict XVI said individuals have the right to leave their country, but that doesn't mean that nations have to take them in.
At the same time, states have the right to regulate migration flows and to defend their own frontiers, always guaranteeing the respect due to the dignity of each and every human person, Pope Benedict XVI said.
Apparently the truth is just too scary to be allowed to be seen. LOL
30% of Kalipornia inmates are illegals
