Minister Takes Teenage Girl to Abortion Clinic, But Pro-Lifers Change Their Minds
Life News ^ | Steven Ertelt

The pro-life organization Pro-Life America shared the inspiring story of a pastor who took a teenager girl to a local abortion clinic for an abortion. But sidewalk counselors were there offering information on abortion alternatives, prayers and support.

Thanks to their efforts, Pro-Life America reports that both the pastor and the pregnant girl changed their minds on the abortion.

An Assemblies of God minister drove a girl to an #abortion clinic today. According to side walk counselors, the girl and minister were both aggressive. She was cursing. She said, “I’m a Christian and you don’t understand my situation! You’re judging me!”

prolifeimage41The #prolifers tried to reason with her from the Scriptures as the minister was taking the girl by the arm and leading her into the killing place.

The group on the sidewalk prayed for them.

Later they both came out of the clinic and the minister told a #prolifer, “I know you’re a man of truth. You were speaking truth to us. We now know that this isn’t right or in accordance to God’s truth.” They were weeping.

The group offered help and a home for the girl if she needs it. The girl was so touched with their love she asked what church the group attended.

A member of the group replied, “I’m so sorry, but our church is about an hour away, but we can connect you with a local church closer to where you live.”

The minister said, “I don’t care. We want to come to your church anyway! This is amazing. You are amazing.” Lots of hugging and crying.

I’m suspicious that it was his baby.

I’m just a suspicious sort.

Very odd. But thankfully they had a change of heart

Just WHY did the minister take her and not her parents?

Wouldn't it have been decades late for the minister to take her parents?

It’s an Assemblies of God “minister”. She is black and female and I bet the girl is too. Probably did it because the girl’s family didn’t know yet. Or they did and said get someone else to take you.

No, we are judging the act of murder

“It’s an Assemblies of God “minister”.”

Okay for the record I know nothing (to quote sergeant schultz) on that religion. So all of you FReepers will have to fill me in on the details.

Just calling it "that religion" says volumes.

You are not suspicious, just insightful. And he said they were the kind of people he wanted to worship with. What kind of a church has he been running?

If this “minister” truly holds credentials in the A/G then they’d be yanked in a heartbeat if someone reports her to the district A/G director.

The “official” AOG position is pro-life.

Well, to start with, at least some of their “preachers” believe it’s a fine thing to murder an inconvenient baby.

Assemblies of God is, as far as I know, the biggest Pentecostal church in the world, founded just about a century ago and rapidly growing. They put a big emphasis on mission activity. The AOG people I used to know were pacifists, conscientious objectors, but I don't think it's a doctrinal requirement of theirs. As a denomination, they're strongly pro-life.

Not sure what's wrong with calling them "that religion." Maybe try "this religion" in case it was an adjective problem.

My aunt married, then later divorced, a preacher’s son. You very well could be on to something! Also, thanks for the iodine/mastitis info. I just found out I have hypothyroidism. If you have any info on this I’d be grateful for it!

She said, “I’m a Christian and you don’t understand my situation! You’re judging me!”

Too many Christians have taken this attitude toward sin these days. To them, the worst sin is that of being judgemental, NOT what sinful action in which they happen to be engaging.

I know something of that denomination and I would NEVER expect one of their ministers to do something like that. It absolutely does not fit with what I know of AoG churches.

That said, I am totally opposed to women ministers.

The Holy Spirit is quite clear on the role of women in the church.

The minister said, “I don’t care. We want to come to your church anyway!

This makes me suspicious of his "credentials" as a minister. That just seems an odd comment for someone who has the obligations of ministry to fulfill.

I’m not sure either. Last I checked they are “a” religion. What difference does it make if I say “this” or “that” other than some people are just touchy?

Possibly because they are are recognized as a Christian religion...
