I used to tolerate homos, but I now hate the bastards
This is commonplace now that they’ve raised their profiles like this. From imaginary foes, now they’re getting real foes.
That said, Christians have been muffing the issue for decades, for the most part. Either “get outta here you blankety blanks” or “oh don’t worry, God’s perfectly okay with what you’ve been doing.” The King’s highway of exhorting them to holy love, even at our own peril, is scarcely traveled any more. Part of the problem, IMHO, is that the church has forgotten how to offer its own sex life to God, and therefore is caught tongue tied when God would like it to tell others to offer their own sex lives to God.
