I don't see many [liberals] who once seemed to advocate this saying this now.
They may say that A&E has a right to protect its brand and thus suspend him indefinitely - and this may very well be true.
But even so, why not ALSO say what they say (when it comes to fellow liberals saying things) - that we should defend to the death his right to say this?
They can do/say both, right?

Well, this incident, and the incident with Paula Deen, show that that forces of political correctness are very strong. If you go against political correctness, you will be targeted for destruction.
Since liberals tell us how offended they are all the time about this and that, I want to express being offended. A homosexual group, GLAAD, released a statement indicating that this Duck Dynasty guy was speaking against his own Christian beliefs. It offends my sensibilities, that an areligious, amoral organization devoted to homosexuality, is going to tell us about Christian doctrine. When such people have no clue about Christianity in the first place.
But then, only liberals are allowed to be offended in this politically correct world we live in.
I see a Phil Robertson day coming, just like the Chic-fil-A day!
Anything that demeans gays must be punished. There are no rights or protections including free speech. It is even worse than using the N-word.
New world order seeks to get people to abandon the Bible, without which people then make their own sense of right and wrong.
This is required to open the door for NWO to establish its own idea of right and wrong and have the sheeple accept it.
In short, NWO seeks to take the place of God in human affairs.

True, traditional Liberals would defend his right to say this, as would Conservatives and Libertarians.
It is coming down - in many ways - where conservatives, libertarins and conservatives are agreeing on many issues (NSA, drone usage, unending military expansionism, the federal reserve, fiat money printing, etc) that it is truly mind-boggling.
If these three would align against the Dem and GOP establishment, the Dem/GOP-e would crumble...
