Either Francis fails
or the Church fails.
Between Francis’ love of communism and Islam. I don’t hold out much hope for the Church.

I don't like what the pope said, but it doesn't bother me. It's just a man's opinion that he can't impose on anyone.

People have different levels of intelligence.
People have different levels of ambition and drive to be successful.

People can be lazy, especially when a check/sustenance can be had for doing nothing.

There's SUPPOSE to be inequality in a free society. Equality in opportunity should always be attempted. But equality across the board should be seen as total nonsense by any normal thinking human being.

It's a fools errand, so it's understandable why Obama thinks income equality is something to be attempted.

When I recall the 7 churches in Revelation, I am reminded of the luke warm church, the one God spews out of His mouth. There is also the compromising church, they didn’t do well also. The early Church met in Synagogues and homes, read the Old Testament, studied the words of Jesus, and communed together. The Church today does very little of these things and isn’t recognizable to the early church. Maybe the Final Days are upon us, with false prophets, false teachers, haters of God and His Word abounding in all levels of the Church and Government. Today, right is wrong and wrong is right. Sin is rewarded and encouraged, God is pushed to the back of the bus, and all the children have been led astray. This shouldn’t be depressing, because Jesus said this would happen, before His 2nd return, which is now very close at hand. As in the days of Job, we should be clothed in sackcloth, with ashes on our heads repenting of our and other sins. Judgment is coming, which side of the fence do we want to be found?

Just like obama the pope has many die hard defenders, no matter what he says, he has been misinterpreted, taken out of context and so on.

Bottom line just like obama, there is not a darn thing anybody can do about it.

When the Pope speaks, I take what he says as a personal message that applies to me alone and not a world message as how governments should be run. I care nothing about what the pro-homosexuals on FOX, or any other mentally disheveled person has to say about it.

“Did Rush’s criticism of Evangelii gaudium the other day give “permission”, as it were, to conservative newsies, etc., to start blasting away?”

Did you read the document?

The Pope uses the term, “trickle down economics”, calling it, and effectively, Reagan’s economics, a terrible notion.

Did the Pope have to use that term?

Obama quoted the Pope yesterday in his lecture to us, telling us that we need to reject notions of capitalism and embrace what the Pope himself endorses, shared wealth.

The MSM doesn’t even need to get in on this.

I would be so happy to see anyone explain how, specifically, Rush and/or the President are misinterpreting this document, its tone and its goal.

I’ve really searched, but I can’t see it.

Fox News (and other outlets) thinks on an American level while the pope is speaking on a universal level. He’s not addressing only the U.S. ... something the media just can’t seem to grasp.

Someone at Fox News needs to read this exhortation. And the report it fair and balanced.

That’s an absurd comparison. Not to mention libelous to Pope Francis, if you think about it. I don’t think he’s a liar. Obama, on the other hand…
