Just like obama the pope has many die hard defenders, no matter what he says, he has been misinterpreted, taken out of context and so on.

This writer is a moron. The Pope is neither conservative or liberal. He is a pastor. And as long as there is a Catholic Church women will not be ordained, there will be no homosexual “marriage”, and there will be no abortion for any reason. What I would do if I were him is not say a word, just go about the business of tending to the flock. No matter what he says those that despise that the Catholic Church will find fault with him, where they be liberal or conservative. On the social issues he is no different than any other pope and the liberals (who claim they like him) will certainly find that out, and the criticism will start and never let up.
Pay no attention to those whose politics informs their religion rather than the other way around. The weed of heresy ALWAYS bears bitter fruit and you will note that virtually all of the anti-Francis crowd are heretics of one stripe or another.
