Capitalism is the free and un-coerced exchange of goods and services. Even though i6 has never been practiced in a “pure” form, capitalism has still created a higher standard of living for more people than any other system before or since.
Once the State intervenes to confiscate these goods and services, or coerce their exchange, you can expect to see an increase in poverty. This won’t matter to the State as it increase the power and wealth of the governing classes and their cronies and gives additional excuses for more intervention.
Most of the regions suffering from poverty don’t have unequal distribution of wealth - they have have unequal distribution of freedom and capitalism.
If the pontiff is really advocating further state intervention in the name of the poor, he is either wrong or evil.
I would like to NOT believe this. Do you have anything that refutes this?
What difference does it make! Liberalism is more important than religion. Just look at polling results.

He is disconnecting - attempting to shut it down since this oldest global intelligence agency must be hurting him or he intends to starts pogroms against Catholics or some such evil. Reagan, Thatcher and the Pope made some historic power plays. Obama is trying to stop something big. He is trying to stop info from flowing at the very least.
Maybe this is a smoke screen of some sort...Far fetched but who knows these days! Something big is in play if even 10% of this is true:
